SEATTLE, Wash. – Northwestern turned in a solid performance at the Husky Classic, hosted by Washington, on Saturday with a five runners competing across three events.
2018 Husky Classic RESULTS
Sophomore Aubrey Roberts led the Wildcats in the 5000M, finishing 29th in a field of over 70 with a 16:32.75 that came in the second heat. Haley Albers posted a time of 17:35.88 which was a personal record by almost a minute, while Andrea Ostenso ran a 17:59.99.
Senior Sara Coffey improved on her 1-mile time from two weeks ago, which won the Illinois Open. At the Husky Classic, Coffey ran a 5:00.32 which was nearly five seconds faster than her previous race.
Isabel Seidel, running in the third heat of the 3000M, completed the race in 9:54.40. Seidel previously ran the same race at the Illinois Open, finishing third behind teammate Roberts and Ostenso then.
The #B1GCats are back in action next Saturday at the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Indiana.
