EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern junior Olivia Rosendahl has been named the Big Ten Co-Diver of the Week following an impressive opening weekend versus No. 4 Georgia and Georgia Tech.
Rosendahl picked up a pair of first-place finishes and claimed second twice in duals last Friday and Saturday. The reigning platform national champion won the 1-meter springboard with a zone standard of 300.30 versus the fourth-ranked Bulldogs and finished second in the 3-meter with a 312.30.
The Los Angeles, California, native flipped her results Saturday morning versus the Yellow Jackets, claiming the 3-meter with a season-high 318.68 and finishing second in the 1-meter with a 290.93.
This marks Rosendahl's eighth career Big Ten weekly award. She was named Big Ten Diver of the Week three times last season and earned four Freshman of the Week honors in 2015-16.
The Wildcats are back in action this weekend when they head to Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, for a Big Ten tri-dual versus the Fighting Illini and Rutgers. The 'Cats return home to the Norris Aquatics Center Saturday morning for a tri-daul versus UIC and the University of Chicago at 10 a.m.
