ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Scottie Lindsey posted game highs of 22 points and five assists to lead the White team to a 69-62 win over the Purple team in the Northwestern men's basketball team's intrasquad scrimmage Friday night at Allstate Arena.
First-year guard Anthony Gaines was impressive in his debut in a Northwestern uniform, tallying 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting to pace the Purple squad.
The two teams played a pair of 16-minute halves with the Purple team jumping out to a 34-29 halftime lead, but the White squad out-scored the Purple 40-28 in the second half thanks to some clutch 3-point shooting down the stretch by Bryant McIntosh (17 points) and A.J. Turner (12 points).
Dererk Pardon narrowly missed a double-double for the Purple, posting 17 points and nine rebounds while Vic Law chipped in with 16 points.
