EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern defender Hannah Davison earned a spot on Top Drawer Soccer's "Team of the Week" after helping the Wildcats to a pair of shutout wins last weekend.
Northwestern beat then-No. 23 Minnesota and receiving-votes Wisconsin by identical 2-0 decisions to move into the top-four of the Big Ten standings with two regular season contests remaining. The top four teams host their first-round Big Ten tournament matches.
Davison and the Northwestern backline held Minnesota, the Big Ten's top scoring offense, scoreless over the 90-minute match.
In addition to her strong defensive efforts, Davison assisted on both of the Wildcats' goals in the victory over Minnesota for the first two assists of her collegiate career. She took a season-high three shots in the win against Wisconsin.
Davison joined defenders Briana Alston (Texas A&M) and Courtney Norton (Rutgers) on the national list.
