OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. — First year Eric McIntosh came out firing in day two of the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational, making three birdies in the first five holes. He finished with a 1-under 69, the best round of his young Wildcats career.
With two-thirds of the competition in the books, McIntosh is tied for 24th among the rigorous competition. Senior Dylan Wu, after registering his second-straight 1-over 71, is tied for 21st.
As a team, Northwestern shot five strokes better than their first-round performance. NU moved up to 12th place on Saturday.
The #B1GCats will wrap up the event on Sunday morning. The tee times are as follows: Everton Hawkins (8:15), Sam Triplett (8:24), Eric McIntosh (8:33), Ryan Lumsden (8:42), and Dylan Wu (8:51).
