EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern women's basketball invites you to join head coach Joe McKeown at Giordano's in downtown Evanston next Wednesday, Sept. 6, for the first installment of "Giordano's With Joe."
The event will run from 5-7 p.m. during regular Giordano's hours, and all Northwestern fans are encouraged to attend. Say you are there to see Coach McKeown and receive 20 percent off your bill.
Coach McKeown will briefly address the audience shortly after 5 p.m. and then be available for a short Q&A immediately following. The rest of the evening will be spent interacting with Wildcat fans during dinner. Northwestern giveaways will be available, and fans in attendance will get the first look at the complete 2017-18 schedule.
Giordano's is located at 1527 Chicago Ave. in Evanston.
Northwestern is coming off its second 20-win season in the past three years after posting a 20-11 (9-9) record in 2016-17.
McKeown has racked up 658 career victories in 31 years as a head coach between New Mexico State, George Washington, and Northwestern. After winning an average of seven games a year in the 11 years before his arrival, Northwestern has claimed 147 victories in his nine seasons and made the postseason five times. Ten of his student-athletes at NU have combined to win 24 All-Big Ten awards, and the 'Cats have combined for 52 Academic All-Big Ten awards in the last nine years.
