EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's women's tennis team and five individuals have earned academic recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the 2016-17 school year.
The Wildcats were honored as a recipient of the ITA All-Academic Team award for having a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above during the 2016-17 academic year.
Individually, five NU student-athletes earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition. In order to receive the honor, an individual must be a varsity letterwinner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters. Earning the honor for Northwestern were Rheeya Doshi, Erin Larner, Maddie Lipp, Lee Or and Brooke Rischbieth.
