EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern's men's swimming & diving team was named a College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team, as the squad had a grade point above 3.0 in the 2017 spring quarter.
With a team GPA of 3.25 from the winter quarter, the Wildcats had the third-highest GPA in the Big Ten. The 'Cats continued to improve academically during the spring quarter, posting a 3.58 GPA.
In addition to being named one of a CSCAA record 720 teams to earn All-America status, five Wildcats were recognized as individual Scholar All-Americans. Senior Jordan Wilimovsky, who claimed All-America honors at the NCAA Championships in the 500 and 1,650 free events, was recognized for earning above for earning a GPA above 3.5.
Charles Cole, Andrew Cramer, Ben Magliato and Almog Olshtein were named honorable mention selections as individuals who have a 3.5 GPA or above and achieved a "B" time standard.
