Northwestern (17-25, 6-9 B1G) enters the game against the Fighting Irish after dropping a series to Michigan State over the weekend. The Wildcats are 5-5 in their last 10 games and have won three consecutive nonconference contests heading into Tuesday.
Notre Dame (22-23, 10-14 ACC) is fresh off a series win against Duke, where the Irish claimed a pair of one-run games to take the set.
