EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's field hockey team is set for two weekends of competition during its spring season beginning with a home competition at Lakeside Field this Saturday and Sunday April 8-9.
The Wildcats welcome Iowa, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State to Evanston this weekend. Matches this weekend will be played with two 25-minute halves.
NU opens play at 10:10 a.m. Saturday when it takes on Louisville before squaring off against Michigan State at 12:30 p.m.
Sunday's action pits the Wildcats against Michigan at 9:45 a.m. prior to facing Ohio State at 11 a.m. The busy day continues with Northwestern challenging Iowa at 12:30 p.m. before wrapping up the weekend with a match against Michigan State at 2 p.m.
The 'Cats also will travel to Iowa City, Iowa, on Saturday, April 22. Northwestern takes on host Iowa and Missouri State with matches scheduled for 11 a.m. and noon.
