Wu went 66-70-69 over the two-day tournament to notch his first individual win this season and his first round 66 (-5) was his lowest-ever score at Northwestern. This is the second time an NU golfer has won a tournament individually this season (Ryan Lumsden, Marquette Intercollegiate).

As a team, Northwestern finished one stroke away from the lead and their 281-stroke performance (70.3 average) in the third round was their best of the Invitational. This marks the sixth top-five performance by the Wildcats this season.

NU led third-place Seattle — the tournament host — by six strokes in the overall standings.

Conor Richardson also notched his best finish of the season, carding 69 in the final round to finish off an even-par, eighth-place performance. The 69-stroke round tied his lowest of the season (Desert Mountain Intercollegiate).

The next Wildcat finisher was Ryan Lumsden, who closed the tournament with a 70 and 71 in his final two rounds. He finished tied for 15th place, marking his fourth-straight tournament with a top-20 finish.

Andrew Whalen (T-32) and Everton Hawkins (T-64) round up the Wildcats finishers in Washington state. Whalen shot a pair of 72-stroke rounds to finish.

Northwestern also had three individuals entered into the Wright State Invitational in Dayton, Ohio.

In only his third event this season, Pete Griffith tied for fifth — and tied the lead for individuals entered in the tournament. The freshman's 67-stroke first round was his best performance this season.

Right on his coattails was Sam Triplett, who rebounded from a 75-stroke first round to shoot 70 and 71. He finished three-over and tied for ninth place. Luke Miller finished tied for 31st.

Chicago's Big Ten Team will play in the Boilermaker Invitational on Apr. 15-16 for their final regular season tune-up before the Big Ten Championships, Apr. 28-30.
