COLUMBUS, Ohio — Northwestern sits in eighth place overall after day one of the 2017 Big Ten Men's Swimming and Diving Championships where teams competed in the 200 medley and the 800 free relays. The Wildcats swam a 2017 top time in both events.
Andrew Jovanovic, Will Hofstadter, Ryan Tate and Almog Olshtein teamed up in the 200 medley relay for a time 1:26.97 that placed eighth in the event. Northwestern's previous top time of the season was 1:29.60, which came in the TYR Invite.
Charlie Cole, Jonathan Lieberman, Jordan Wilimovsky and Alex Snarski represented Northwestern in the 800 free relay with a time of 6:31.36.
Northwestern has 84 points in the team standings. Indiana leads the event with 128 points.
