PALOS VERDES, Calif. – Two-time Big Ten Player of the Year Hannah Kim carded a 2-under 69 in Tuesday's third and final round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes Golf Club, leading the Wildcats to an upper-half finish in the elite field that featured 13 teams ranked inside the Golfstat Top-30.

Kim, a junior, concluded her first event of the spring with five birdies over the final 18 holes on Tuesday. She moved 34 spots up the leaderboard in the third round, the biggest move in the field on the tournament's final day. Her 11 birdies on the weekend led the Wildcats and ranked seventh in the field overall.
Kacie Komoto was the most consistent Northwestern performer all weekend on the west coast, with three consecutive 73's. The senior wrapped up 54 holes as the Wildcats top finisher on the leaderboard, in a tie for 23rd. Junior Sarah Cho finished just one stroke behind, recording a 7-over 220 for the weekend.
Sophomore Monica Matsubara, competing as an individual, earned a Top-40 finish by shooting a 9-over 222. Her 38 pars in 54 holes ranked second in the top-flight field of 88 student-athletes.
