Choose Your Favorite Welsh-Ryan Arena Moments!

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern men's basketball is asking fans to choose their favorite moments from the current era of Welsh-Ryan Arena prior to the facility's major renovation scheduled to begin in 2017.

The Top Moments fan vote, Driven By Nissan, is open now!

With NU playing its final season in the facility prior to the beginning of the current project, fans can vote on their favorite men's basketball moments from among 20 chosen to span the 1983-2017 time period of the current arena.

The top-9 vote getters from the fan vote will be featured during Northwestern home Big Ten games later in the 2016-17 campaign, counting down to the start of construction at the conclusion of the season in March of 2017.

In June of 2016, Northwestern announced a $110+ million renovation to Welsh-Ryan Arena that will completely transform the Wildcats home. The project's anticipated completion is in the fall of 2018.

Construction on McGaw Memorial Hall, in which Welsh-Ryan Arena is located, was started in 1951 and completed in 1953. In the early 1980s, aided by a leadership gift from Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan, the basketball arena was renovated and named in honor of the parents of Mr. and Mrs. Ryan.
