PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. -- Northwestern's eighth-ranked doubles team of Alex Chatt and Maddie Lipp kept their hopes for the doubles title alive with another win Friday at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships.
Chatt and Lipp, the tournament's No. 7 seed, advanced to Saturday's semifinal round by outlasting the Pepperdine team of Mayar Sharif Ahmed and Christine Maddox, 8-7 (5). With the win, the Wildcats' duo will take on North Carolina's team of Hayley Carter and Jessie Aney next with a berth in Sunday's championship match on the line. Carner and Aney advanced to take on Chatt and Lipp with an easy 8-0 win in their quarterfinal round match.
