EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern football has announced it will host Central Michigan University at Ryan Field on September 12, 2020.
The Wildcats and Chippewas will meet for the second time in program history and first since Chicago's Big Ten Team claimed the first-ever meeting on Sept. 25, 2010, 30-25. Dan Persa completed 23-of-30 passes for 280 yards and a pair of touchdowns while also racking up 43 yards on the ground in the victory. Jeremy Ebert caught both of Persa's touchdown strikes, finishing with five receptions for 83 yards.
The Chippewas, a member of the Mid-American Conference West Division, are guided by second-year head coach John Bonamego. CMU has claimed seven MAC championships and made nine bowl appearances, most recently in the 2015 Quick Lane Bowl against Big Ten foe Minnesota.
