EVANSTON, Ill. – Five student-athletes on Northwestern's women's lacrosse team earned a selection to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll for the 2016 season on Friday.
Jessica Dahldorf, Jasmine Docal, Nancy Dunbar, Emily Eichner, and Sheila Nesselbush achieved the prestigious distinction. To qualify for the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, lacrosse student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater.
All five student-athletes previously qualified for Academic All-Big Ten Honors for posting a cumulative 3.00 GPA. Docal, Dunbar, Eichner and Nesselbush also earned Big Ten Distinguished Scholar recognition for posting a 3.7 GPA or higher during the 2015-2016 academic year.
On Thursday, the women's lacrosse team qualified for the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad Award. On Monday, the IWLCA will announce its Merit Squad selections.
