EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Northwestern's women lacrosse team earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad distinction for the 2015-16 season.
In order to qualify for the award, women's lacrosse teams across the country must post a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the year.
The women's lacrosse team previously had 19 student-athletes earn Academic All-Big Ten selections for Spring 2016. That honor goes to student-athletes in at least their second academic year who carry over a 3.0 GPA.
The IWLCA Academic Honor Roll and Merit Squad selections will be released in the next week.
