EVANSTON, Ill. – Women's basketball head coach Joe McKeown has announced Caleb Rosenow as the new director of player development. Rosenow replaces former NU women's basketball player Kate Popevec, who was hired as an assistant coach at Colgate last month.
"I am humbled and very appreciative for the opportunity to continue working for the women's basketball program here at Northwestern," Rosenow said. "My sincerest gratitude goes to Coach McKeown for believing in my capabilities to fulfill the director of player development position. I look forward to furthering our program's reputation as being one of the most elite college basketball programs in the country, both on and off the court."
As director of player development, Rosenow will be responsible for preparing Wildcat women's basketball student-athletes for personal, academic and athletic development success. He will work closely with various departments within Northwestern athletics, including academic services, community relations and NU for Life and will assist the NU coaching staff in breaking down film, along with statistical analysis. In addition, Rosenow will assist the recruiting coordinator with the on-campus process for respective student-athletes.
Rosenow served as the assistant director of basketball operations for the past two seasons. In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of team video and assisted with organizing travel and the day-to-day operations of the program. Prior to arriving in Evanston, Rosenow worked as the assistant video coordinator for the Chicago Sky.
The Red Wing, Minn., native is a 2012 graduate of Carleton College where he was a captain on the men's basketball team.
