EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern head women's tennis coach Claire Pollard has announced the signing of Nina Van Oost to a National Letter of Intent to join the Wildcats for the upcoming 2016-17 season.
"Nina brings a big game to Evanston along with a strong energetic personality," said Pollard. "She personifies what we are all about at Northwestern Tennis. She has a strong work ethic, is ambitious and equally committed to academic and athletic success."
Already a veteran of playing in international tournaments, Van Oost has been ranked as high as No. 432 in the world as a junior. She is currently ranked among the top 40 players in Belgium, including the highest-ranked player in her age group.
A native of Overijse, Belgium, Van Oost has competed for Club Justine Henin and Tennis Club Lovanium and has participated in the Belgium Championships.
