EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern sophomore Dylan Wu (Medford, Ore./St. Mary's School) is among 155 student-athletes across six regions to earn PING All-Region honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Wu earns the honor for the second-straight year.
The sophomore led the Wildcats in almost every statistical category this season, including a pair of third place finishes at The Boilermaker and Northwestern's home tournament - the Windon Memorial. Wu led the 'Cats in the individual standings at his second-career Big Ten Championships, finishing sixth overall at 3-under 213. The Medford, Oregon, native was named to the All-Big Ten second team after logging three top-10 finishes for NU this season. He capped off his sophomore campaign with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Stillwater Regional. Wu shot the low round for NU in the regional finale, firing a 1-over 73 and concluded the tournament at 5-over 221, courtesy of a team-best 11 birdies.
Outside of collegiate competition, Wu advanced through local U.S. Open qualifying and will compete at sectional qualifying on June 6.
