NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Senior Elena Barham capped her college career with a personal record in the 10,000m race on Thursday night at the Dr. Keeler Invitational hosted by North Central College.

Barham shaved nearly 11 seconds off her personal best with a 35:41.78 in the final event of the season for Northwestern. The Madison, Wisconsin, native turned in the Wildcats top times at 5000m (17:35.8) and 6000m (21:17.2) during 2015 cross country season, the fastest time at 3000m in indoor track, and best time at 10,000m in outdoor track in her final campaign.
The three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree is the first Northwestern student since 2001 to earn a prestigious fellowship with Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and will graduate next month with degrees in political science and philosophy.
Senior Camille Blackman led four Wildcats inside the Top-25 in the 5,000m event at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium, clocking a 17:31.86 with classmate Allison Jacobsen in 12th at 18:01.59, junior Ellen Schmitz in 20th 18:32.32 and junior Elena Miller at 18:39.26.
Sophomore Kinsey Harmon, who recorded Northwestern's fastest outdoor 3,000m time of the year at the Illinois Twilight, recorded a 19:28.41 in her first 5,000.
