CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va./CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Junior Andrea Ostenso was the winner of the 5,000M race at the Illinois Twlight on Saturday evening, while nearly 700 miles away senior Elena Barham raced to a Top-10 finish in the same event at the Virginia Challenge.
Barham rounded the track in 17:12.44, ahead of teammates Camille Blackman (17:32.82) and Brooke Pigneri (17:54.98), at

The Challenge included student-athletes from 22 conference champion teams, over 70 All-Americans and 16 individual NCAA champions. In total, more than 1200 athletes are scheduled to participate.
Meanwhile, in Champaign at the Illinois Twilight, Ostenso won the 5,000M race in a time of 17:06.34, edging her closest competitor by more than a second. One of the team's pacesetters last season as a sophomore, Ostenso had missed much of this year due to injury.

In the 3,000M race, sophomore Kinsey Harmon made her first competitive appearance in over a year, finishing in 10:50.35. Classmate Sara Coffey earned a second-place finish in the 1,500M in 4:44.27 at the Illinois Soccer & Track Stadium.
