An eagle on No. 16 highlighted Lau's second round, one in which she played the front-nine at 1-under, and mirrored it on the back on her way to a 2-under 70. Through two days the rookie has done the majority of her damage on The Fort's longest challenges, playing the course's four Par-5 holes at 5-under.

Lau will be the final Wildcats golfer to tee off Sunday's third round (9:57 p.m. ET), paired with Michigan's Megan Kim, who also owns a share of second place after 36 holes, and Ohio State's Kajta Pogacar in eighth.

Sophomore Hannah Kim is one of 15 golfers in the field under par after 36 holes, now in 13th-place at 1-under after an even-par 72 on Saturday. The reigning Big Ten Player of the Year is in search of her second consecutive Top-10-finish at the Conference Championships. Junior Kacie Komoto and freshman Janet Mao are tied for 22nd at 1-over.
