Northwestern Places 17 on NFHCA National Academic Squad

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Seventeen members of the Northwestern field hockey program have been honored by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) by being named to the 2015 ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.

To qualify for selection to the NFHCA National Academic Squad, a student-athlete must have cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 during the first academic period of the 2015-16 school year.

Seniors Kelsey Gradwohl, Lena Phillips, Kelley Stump and Kirsten Ward all earned the honor for the fourth time in their careers.

Northwestern was honored with the National Academic Team Award. The honor is bestowed upon each team that achieved a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year.
