COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Northwestern's men's swimming and diving team wrapped up competition Saturday at a quad dual hosted by the University of Missouri.
The Wildcats came up short against all three other schools, falling 178-167 to Southern Illinois, 228-110 to Missouri and 231.5-112.5 to Kentucky.
In the resumption of the meet that began on Friday night, Northwestern's top finish of the session came from Anthony Marcantonio in the 400 IM as he finished second in a time of 4:04.75.
The Wildcats earned four third-place finishes on the day, including both of their relay teams. The 200 medley relay squad of Andy Jovanovic, Thanas Kountroubis, Arjun Sharma and Almog Olshtein posted a time of 1:32.34 while the 400 free relay team of Jovanovic, Jonathan Lieberman, Olshtein and Will Hofstadter finished in 3:05.56.
Individually, Andrew Cramer earned his second third-place finish of the meet with a score of 326.00 on the 3-meter diving board. Additionally, Olshtein touched third in the 50 free in a time of 20.79.
Northwestern returns to action at 10:30 a.m. next Saturday when it hosts Wisconsin at Norris Aquatics Center.
