EVANSTON, Ill. — For the second time this season, Olivia Rosendahl (Los Angeles, Calif./Immaculate Heart) has earned Freshman of the Week honors after a stellar performance in the diving well.
This time, it comes after a clean sweep of the diving events at the TYR Invitational (Nov. 20-22). She took home first place from the 1-meter springboard (285.90), the 3-meter springboard (329.00) and the 5-meter platform (233.80).
Rosendahl has earned both of Northwestern's Big Ten weekly honors this season. She previously won the Freshman of the Week distinction after the Wildcats' defeat of Illinois (Oct. 30) in which she won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions.
The freshman has won every 1-meter diving competition this season and has finished in the top position in three out of four 3-meter events, with her lone miss being a second-place score of 289.43, a season-best.
Northwestern finished in first place out of six teams competing in the TYR Invitational last week, and the squad notched six NCAA 'B' cuts and broke two pool records.
The team is back in action on December 19 when they travel to the Sunshine State to participate in the FAU FUN Invite which features Marywood, FAU, Old Dominion and Northern Arizona.
