COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Northwestern's men's swimming and diving team leads one dual and trails in two others following the opening night of competiton of a quad dual at the University of Missouri.
The Wildcats lead Southern Illinois 82-81 while trailing host Missouri 128-35 and Kentucky 109-53.
Northwestern's top finish of opening night came courtesy of junior Andrew Cramer on the 1-meter diving board. Cramer placed third in the event with a score of 292.15.
The Wildcats earned a trio of fifth-place individual finishes on the evening. Freshman Carter Page posted a time of 4:31.91 in the 500 free, junior Jonathan Lieberman finished the 200 back in 1:51.37 and freshman Justin Hanson touched in at 1:51.50 in the 200 fly.
Action continues Saturday with the second and final session of the meet beginning at 10 a.m.
