NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Northwestern's outdoor track season hits the home stretch this weekend at the Dr. Keeler Track & Field Meet on the campus of North Central College in Naperville. The final regular-season event of the campaign will see 13 Wildcats competing in three different races.

The Wildcats weekend at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium begins on Thursday (May 7) at 6 p.m. CT with the 5,000m. The field will be full of purple with Mallory Abel, Elena Barham, Victoria Bianco, Sara Coffey, Allison Jacobsen, Elena Miller, Jena Pianin, Brooke Pigneri and Rachel Weathered all scheduled to participate. Pianin ranks among the Top-75 performances nationally this season in the 5,000m, seeking to be one of the Top-48 student-athletes declared to qualify in the event in order earn an NCAA Championships berth.
Sophomores Andrea Ostenso and Ellen Schmitz will be in the field for the 10,000m event at 8:15 p.m. CT on Thursday night in Naperville. Ostenso owns the 42nd fastest 10,000m in the country this season, on track to advance to the NCAA West Region competition at the University of Texas.
Northwetern will wrap up the Dr. Keeler Meet on Friday evening with Isabel Seidel and Hannah Rose in the field for the 3,000m Steeplechase.
