NAPA, Calif. -- Junior Suchaya Tangkamolprasert tied for third place and sophomore Kacie Komoto finished with a share of fifth as the No. 12 Wildcats secured a Top-5 team finish at the 2015 Silverado Showdown on Tuesday. The event in northern California brings the regular-season to a close as Northwestern now focuses on the looming Big Ten Championships.

Tangkamolprasert carded a 4-over 220 during the 54-hole event to finish eight shots off the lead. Komoto finished with a 5-over 221, while Northwestern wrapped up the tournament in fifth place at 31-over par, six shots behind Showdown champions Oregon.

Suchaya Tangkamolprasert (Bangkok, Thailand/Bromsgrove Christian School) parred 16-of-18 holes during an opening round 74, but the junior saved her best for the second round. She opened her second 18 with six pars before going birdie-birdie at Nos. 8 and 9 and adding two more birds on the back at Nos. 13 and 16 en route to a 3-under 69. On Tuesday she battled through an uneven front nine to play the back nine at even-par and card a 77 to close the event.

Sophomore Kacie Komoto (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou) carded three birdies in her first ten holes of the tournament and roared around the turn during the second round with birdies at Nos. 9, 11 and 12, en route to a 1-under 71 in Round 2. She parred 15-of-18 holes in Tuesday's final round to finish with a 3-over 75.

Senior Hana Lee (Seoul, South Korea/Wilson (Calif.)) turned in the best final round of any Wildcat, carding three birdies on her way to a final round 74. Freshman Sarah Cho (San Diego, Calif./Torrey Pines) fired three birdies over a five-hole stretch in Round 3 to finish the day at 3-over 75 while classmate Hannah Kim (Chula Vista, Calif./Otay Ranch) recorded a pair of birdies during a final loop that finished with a 4-over 76.

With the entire regular-season now in the books, Northwestern's focus shifts to the 2015 Big Ten Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana. NU won its first-ever conference team title in 2013 before placing third overall one year ago.
