EVANSTON, Ill. -- After playing five of their its last six games at the friendly confines of Lakeside Field, the fifth-ranked Northwestern Lacrosse program will head east for a pair of games at Rutgers and No. 9 Stony Brook this weekend.

The Wildcats and Scarlet Knights will meet on Friday night inside High Point Solutions Stadium at 6 p.m., while Sunday's affair against the Seawolves will be played at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium at 11 a.m. CT.

Lasota Snags Another B1G Honor
Leading goal scorer Selena Lasota earned yet another Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor on Monday after scoring eight goals and dishing out a pair of assists in the Wildcats' two wins over Michigan and Penn. Lasota recorded her first career eight-point game with six goals and two assists against the Wolverines before tallying two goals for the 11th time this season in the win over the Quakers. She has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week three times this season and was also named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Feb. 23.

Among the Nation's Leaders
Lasota has quickly displayed that she is one of the most dynamic scorers in the country, netting 42 goals through her first 11 career games. As of April 8, the freshman led the Big Ten with 42 goals and 3.82 goals per game, ranking fifth and third in the country respectively. Lasota has scored at least two goals in every game this season with a season high of six goals in wins at Marquette and Michigan.

Finding Their Stride
With a roster that features 14 freshman and starts five of those freshman on most days, the Wildcats started the season 3-2 with losses to No. 8 Duke and No. 2 North Carolina. As the season has matured, so have the Wildcats however, winning each of their last three games and five of their last six. The stretch includes wins over ranked foes No. 5 Syracuse, No. 10 Louisville and No. 11 Penn. The Wildcats' only blemish during the stretch was a 16-5 loss to No. 1 Maryland on March 26.

All-Time Series
Northwestern will look to remain undefeated against its new Big Ten foe Rutgers on Friday night as the Wildcats are 7-0 all-time against the Scarlet Knights. The `Cats have dominated Rutgers in each of their seven meetings, outscoring their opponent 118-23 for an average margin of victory of 13 goals. While the NU and RU have met seven times, Sunday will be the first meeting in program history against No. 9 Stony Brook.

Scouting the Scarlet Knights
After defeating Villanova in its season opener, 10-7, Rutgers has lost each of its last 12 outings to fall to enter Friday's game with a 1-12 mark overall and 0-2 mark in conference play. The Scarlet Knights are coming off a 17-5 loss to No. 1 Maryland last Saturday. Lauren Sbrilli has led the squad offensively with 27 goals and 31 points, while Melissa Arthur is the team leader in assists with 12. Candic Dandridge has played all but 4:57 in the cage for the Knights, allowing 13.26 goals per contest with a .406 save percentage.

Scouting the Seawolves
The ninth-ranked Stony Brook Seawolves entered the week with a perfect 11-0 record before suffering their first loss of the season on Tuesday at the hands of No. 20 Johns Hopkins, 9-7. The Seawolves have had impressive wins against Notre Dame and Florida, as well as their lone common opponent with the Wildcats in USC, 7-4. Courtney Murphy, who scored her 100th career goal against Johns Hopkins, leads SB with 39 goals and 44 points, while freshman Kylie Ohlmiller is second on the team with 41 points (20 g, 21 a). Stony Brook has outscored its opponents 134-59 on the season, averaging 11.17 goal per game while allowing just 4.92.
