EVANSTON, Ill. -- Junior Jordan Wilimovsky (Malibu, Calif./Malibu) will be Northwestern's representation at the 2015 NCAA Championships March 26-28 when he competes in a pair of events at Iowa's Campus Recreation and Wellness Center in Iowa City.

Wilimovsky enters the meet as the No. 1 overall seed in the 1,650 freestyle and the No. 11 seed in the 500 free according to the psych sheet released by the NCAA last week. Wilimovsky's seed time of 14:33.50 in the mile is five seconds faster than any other collegiate swimmer this season and is one of just six NCAA `A' cuts achieved in 2014-15.

Wilimovsky won the Big Ten championship in the mile last month, establishing Northwestern school records at both the 1,000- and 1,650-yard distances with the same swim. He also broke the school record in the 500 free with a 4:14.70 at the conference meet, placing second in the Big Ten and putting himself squarely in line for an All-America honor in that event.

Wilimovsky is making his third trip to the NCAA Championships. He qualified as a freshman in 2013 and finished 24th in the 1,650 freestyle. He then made a huge leap forward during his second NCAA meet in 2014, placing fourth in the nation to pick up his first-career All-America award.

A total of 270 participants (235 swimmers and 35 divers) will compete in the championships. ESPN3 will stream finals sessions Friday and Saturday live. Additionally, ESPNU will air a 90-minute show at 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 8.
