Northwestern Big Ten Championships Notes
2015 B1G Wrestling Brackets
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Official brackets and seeds for the 2015 Big Ten Wrestling Championships were released Friday afternoon. Eight NU wrestlers are seeded in their respective weight classes.
Jason Tsirtsis leads the way for the Wildcats as the No. 2 seed at 149 lbs. He will wrestle Illinois' Kyle Langenderfer in the first round. Tsirtsis won a 4-2 decision over Langenderfer on Jan. 25.
Mike McMullan is the No. 3 seed at 285 lbs. He is slated to face 14th-seeded Tyler Kral of Purdue. McMullan won a 17-5 major decision over Kral on Jan. 16. At 165 lbs., Pierce Harger is seeded No. 4. He will wrestle No. 13 Roger Wildmo of Michigan State in the first round. The meeting will be the first between the two this season.
The rest of the Wildcats are seeded as follows: No. 7 Jameson Oster (141), No. 7 Alex Polizzi (197), No. 11 Dominick Malone (133), No. 12 Mitch Sliga (184) and No. 13 Ben Sullivan (157).

This year marks the 101st edition of the Big Ten Championships. Action gets underway at 9 a.m. CT Saturday, March 7 and runs through Sunday, March 8. Fans can watch the first three sessions live on the Big Ten Digital Network and can tune into the Big Ten Network at 2 p.m. on Sunday to watch the finals live.
