EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern roars back into Evanston this week for a pair of Big Ten games at Welsh-Ryan Arena beginning with a rematch against the No. 20/17 Iowa Hawkeyes Thursday at 7 p.m. The Wildcats and Hawkeyes met just two weeks ago in Iowa City, Iowa.

LYON NETS 1,000
Northwestern junior Maggie Lyon entered Sunday's game at Penn State needing only three points to reach 1,000 for her career. The Wilmette, Ill., native wasted little time, burying a 3-pointer just 71 seconds into the game to reach the milestone. She would hit five triples on the day. Lyon, now with 1,017 points, is the first Wildcat to reach the mark since her former teammate Kendall Hackney did so on Jan. 26, 2012 against Purdue. The duo played together during the 2012-13 season when Lyon was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year. Hackney finished her career ranked ninth on NU's all-time scoring list with 1,547 points.

MORE LYON LINES
Maggie Lyon has scored more than half (513) of her 1,017 points from 3-point range ... The junior has made at least one 3-pointer in 24 consecutive games and in 45 of the last 52 contests dating back to the start of the 2013-14 campaign ... Lyon ranks fourth in program history in 3-point FG made with 171. Michele Rattay is No. 1 with 244.

TRIPLE THREATS
Northwestern has a pair of dangerous weapons from beyond the arc this season. Senior Alex Cohen is connecting at a clip of .452 (19-of-42) to lead the Big Ten. Junior Maggie Lyon is shooting .427 (53-of-124) from 3-point range to rank fourth in the conference. NU has six players, including Cohen and Lyon, who have made at least seven 3-point field goals this season.

CONSISTENT 'CATS
Northwestern head coach Joe McKeown has used the same starting lineup, consisting of Alex Cohen, Nia Coffey, Maggie Lyon, Christen Inman and Ashley Deary, in all 19 games this season. That group has opened the last 23 consecutive games together and 46 of 52 contests since the start of the 2013-14 campaign.

PROTECT THIS HOUSE
The Wildcats are 7-1 at Welsh-Ryan Arena this season, having beaten opponents by an average of 17.9 points in Evanston. At home they are averaging 67.2 points per game while shooting 43.8 percent from the field. Defensively, NU is limiting the opposition to 49.4 points per game at a clip of 30.6 percent while creating 19.9 turnovers per contest.

DOUBLE TROUBLE
Nia Coffey has registered a team-high seven double-doubles this season, ranking eighth in the Big Ten in that category. The sophomore has 15 in her career and four in Big Ten play this season. In Coffey's seven double-double games this season, she is averaging 13.6 points and 13 rebounds. Ashley Deary ranks second on the team with two double-doubles, while Alex Cohen and Lauren Douglas each have one.

YOU'RE THE MISSING PIECE
The first 500 fans in attendance on Thursday will receive an exclusive Northwestern Women's Basketball puzzle in honor of National Puzzle Day.

UP NEXT
Northwestern will be back in action on Sunday afternoon to host the Minnesota Golden Gophers at 2 p.m. The Wildcats will host Scout Day Sunday with a special pre-game clinic for young girls.
