EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern plays its second game in the state of Michigan in a seven-day span on Saturday as it travels to Crisler Center to take on Michigan. Tip-off is set for 7:15 p.m Central time.

The Wildcats played Michigan State in East Lansing last Sunday, suffering an 84-77 overtime loss.

NU is coming off a tight 72-67 home loss to Illinois on Wednesday. The 'Cats trimmed a 10-point second-half deficit to one twice in the closing seconds but couldn't make it all the way back. Bryant McIntosh led Northwestern with 16 points while Alex Olah posted his fourth double-double of the season, recording 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Olah's four double-doubles are the most by an NU player since Tavaras Hardy recorded six during the 2001-02 season while his sixth double-digit rebounding games are the most since Luka Mirkovic had six in 2009-10.

Olah's average of 7.2 rebounds per game rank third in the Big Ten and his average of 1.7 blocked shots per game ranks sixth.

McIntosh scored in double figures for the 10th straight game on Wednesday. Over the last 30 years, the only other NU true freshmen to post 10+ points in 10 or more straight games are Cedric Neloms (12 in 1991-92) and T.J. Parker (11 in 2002-03).

Saturday's contest features two of the top 3-point shooting teams in conference play. Northwestern ranks second in Big Ten play with an average of 7.5 triples per game and third with a .375 3-point field goal percentage. Michigan is third with 7.4 makes per contest from behind the arch and fourth with a .346 3-point field goal percentage vs. league foes.
