EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's men's and women's swimming and diving programs return to action following winter break and their respective training trips in an 11 a.m. CT double dual meet Saturday, Jan. 10, against Michigan and Notre Dame at the Wolverines' Canham Natatorium in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Live results for Saturday are available courtesy of . The Michigan men are ranked sixth in the nation while the women are eighth according to the most recent College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) polls.

The Northwestern men concluded the fall season with a 5-2 overall record and were ranked 21st in the country at one point during that stretch. The Wildcats' women are 4-3 and coming off a victory at NU's seven-team home TYR Invitational to conclude the fall. This meet marks the first of four-straight weekends of competition heading into the Big Ten Championships in late February.

In addition to collegiate competition, Northwestern sent 11 men and six women representatives to the AT&T U.S. Winter Nationals in early December with excellent results. On the men's side, junior Jordan Wilimovsky (Malibu, Calif./Malibu) was the fastest college entry in the 1,650 freestyle and enters the winter run-up to the NCAA Championships ranked third nationally in the event. Additionally, freshman Almog Olshtein (Haifa, Israel/Haifa) earned the first NCAA `B' provisional qualifying time of his career in the 50 free at that meet.

Early in the fall, at NU's TYR Invitational, freshman Alex Snarski (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) also notched an NCAA `B' cut in the 200 back to give the Wildcats two newcomers with provisional qualification efforts entering the second half of the year.

For the women, sophomore Ellen Stello (Shorewood, Wis./Shorewood) broke a 25-year-old school record in the 200 fly at Winter Nationals to continue an incredible breakout campaign. In addition to a `B' time in that event, Stello also holds one in the 400 IM. Stello leads a contingent of seven different Wildcats who have earned `B' cuts so far this year in nine individual events. That count comprises four sophomores, two freshmen and one junior on what is shaping up to be a significant youth movement with momentum entering the Championship season.

Following this meet, Northwestern's men and women return home at 5 p.m. CT Friday, Jan. 16, to host Milwaukee on Senior Day at the Norris Aquatics Center.
