EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern shoots for its third in-season tournament title in the last four years Wednesday as it plays Northern Iowa for the Cancun Challenge title. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya with CBS Sports Network providing live television coverage.

The Wildcats are looking to become the third Big Ten team to win a Cancun Challenge crown, joining Illinois (2011) and Wisconsin (2013). Overall, teams from the Big Ten have a 12-1 all-time record in the tournament.

A victory would give Northwestern its fourth 6-0 start to a season in the last five years.

NU improved to 5-0 by finishing strong in a 55-46 victory over Miami (Ohio) on Tuesday night. With the game tied 40-40 with six minutes remaining, the Wildcats went on a 9-0 run to pull in front for good. Alex Olah and Vic Law led Northwestern with 13 points and 8 rebounds apiece.

The 'Cats notched a school record for blocked shots in a half in the second half as they swatted 10 of the RedHawks' attempts. Olah led the way with four blocks while Gavin Skelly added three. NU's 10 blocks in the contest rank as a tie for the third-best single-game effort in school history.

Northwestern defense limited Miami to 31.3 percent shooting in the contest, including 23.3 percent in the second half.
