NU Dominant on Day One of Wildcat Fall Duals

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern enjoyed tremendous success in the first day of the Wildcat Fall Duals. The round-robin style event featuring Princeton, DePaul, Yale, Furman and the host Wildcats pitted NU against players from Princeton in Friday's draws.

The `Cats won all five of their matches, including a dominant performance by Alicia Barnett, who shut out nationally-ranked Alanna Wolff. Barnett was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over the 48th-ranked Wolff.

Freshman Alex Chatt was also a straight-set winner for NU. She defeated Katrine Steffensen 6-3, 6-1. Manon Peri and Jillian Rooney added to the Wildcats' win column with a couple of three-set victories.

Lok Sze Leung and Erin Larner added a doubles win for Northwestern. The duo handled Joan Cannon and Sivan Krems, 6-1, 6-2.

NU is back at it early Saturday morning, taking on players from Yale and Furman beginning at 8 a.m.
