EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern freshman Hannah Kim (Chula Vista, Calif./Otay Ranch) has been named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week after an impressive conclusion to the Wildcats' fall schedule at the Stanford Intercollegiate.

Kim fired three rounds at par or better in the tournament, opening with two even-par 71st before carding a 2-under 69 in the final round to finish 12th among a field featuring five of the nation's top-10 programs. Kim's total of 211 is the third-best 54-hole tournament score for an individual in NU program history and it contributed to a team tournament total score of 853 -- the lowest in Wildcats history by 11 strokes.

Kim is the third Wildcat to win the Big Ten's Golfer of the Week honor this fall, giving NU three different winners in just four tournaments this season. Kim joins junior Suchaya Tangkamolprasert (Bangkok, Thailand/Bromsgrove International School) and junior Kaitlin Park (Tustin, Calif./Beckman) as recipients of the award.
