Designed in 1930 by renowned architects William Bell and George Thomas, the par-71, 6,130-yard Stanford Golf Course has hosted many intercollegiate and non-collegiate events, including the Stanford Intercollegiate, Peg Barnard Intercollegiate, Pac-10 Championship, NCAA Regional, NCAA Women's Championship, USGA Junior Amateur Qualifying, U.S. Open Qualifying and The Gathering at the Farm, a former Senior PGA Tour event.
Northwestern has played three tournaments thus far in 2014-15, winning its opener at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in New Mexico. The Wildcats then were part of one of the nation's most elite fields at the invitation-only inaugural Annika Intercollegiate before returning home to finish second at their own Windy City Collegiate Classic behind only USC.
Two Wildcats, Suchaya Tangkamolprasert (Bangkok, Thailand/Bromsgrove International School) and Kaitlin Park (Tustin, Calif./Beckman), have been named Big Ten Golfers of the Week so far this year.
