Six Fall Ball Games On Tap at Sharon J. Drysdale Field

EVANSTON, Ill. -- With beautiful late summer weather enveloping Evanston, come to Sharon J. Drysdale Field for six Northwestern softball fall games beginning Sunday, Sept. 21!

The schedule gets underway with a pair of games on Sept. 21 and continues for three weekends through Oct. 5:

Sunday, Sept. 21

  • Northwestern vs. Kirkwood Community College • 10 a.m. DH

Saturday, Sept. 27

  • DePaul vs. Bradley • 11 a.m.
  • Northwestern Intrasquad Scrimmage • 1:30 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 5

  • Loyola (Chicago) vs. Northern Illinois • 11 a.m.
  • Northwestern vs. Northern Illinois • 1 p.m.

NU also will play a brief intrasquad scrimmage after the conclusion of the game with NIU on Sunday, Oct. 5.

Admission is free for all fall games at Sharon J. Drysdale Field, where the ivy covering the walls of adjacent McGaw Hall is just beginning to change into brilliant fall color.

Northwestern is coming off its sixth NCAA Regional championship round appearance in the last 10 years, advancing to the title tilt of the Seattle Regional. NU hosted the 2014 Big Ten Tournament at Sharon J. Drysdale Field in the spring, an event which included the first night game in the history of the park.

Northwestern begins the 2015 season Feb. 6-8 at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz.
