COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Boasting a three-game win streak and the nation's leading goal scorer, Northwestern women's soccer heads south for a pair of matches this weekend in the Show Me State. The 'Cats will visit the University of Missouri on Friday, and Saint Louis University on Sunday.

With six goals in four games, including five in her last two, sophomore Addie Steiner was honored as the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. The Prairie Village, Kan., native is the leading goal scorer in all of college soccer (men's and women's).

"She's been fantastic," said Northwestern head coach Michael Moynihan. "Last season, I don't know if there was anyone who hit more crossbars and posts in the conference. We knew she had the potential, and she's found the back of the net often this season."

Moynihan's 'Cats opened their current hot streak with a road win over No. 15 Marquette in Milwaukee, polished off the University of Illinois-Chicago 6-0 on Wednesday night in Evanston, and dispatched Miami (OH) 3-1 at Lakeside Field on Sunday.

Friday's matchup with Missouri is the ninth all-time matchup between the Wildcats and Tigers. The two teams last met on Sept. 5, 2010, a 1-1 draw in Evanston, and have split four all-time meetings in Columbia. Missouri is 2-1-1 entering the game after wins on the road against Texas Christian and Southern Methodist last weekend.

“Friday should be a great game,” said Moynihan. “Missouri is a very athletic team and has special players that we need to be wary of. They beat North Carolina in the preseason and lost an overtime battle with No. 12 West Virginia.”

The Wildcats then head east to visit the Saint Louis University Billikens, led by head coach Katie Shields. Prior to her arrival at SLU, Shields spent two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Northwestern. The Billikens are 2-2-0 on the young season, and split a pair of games last weekend with a 2-1 win at Drake and a 2-1 loss at Iowa State.
