EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern Athletics, in conjunction with LifeSource, will host its annual Fall Purple Pride Blood Drive on November 18, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. inside the Ryan Field Stadium Club. As always, there are great incentives for all registered donors, so Northwestern fans are encouraged to register online and schedule an appointment in advance by clicking here!
All donors will receive their choice of a FREE Northwestern men's basketball ticket for either the 'Cats game vs. Brown (12/22) or vs. DePaul (12/27). In addition, former All-Big Ten quarterback Dan Persa will be at the drive signing autographs from 8 a.m. to Noon! All donors will be automatically entered into a random drawing for chance to win the November Donor of the Month promotion, which will award one Purple Pride Blood Drive participant with four (4) game tickets and sideline passes to the Michigan State game on November 23, as well as an autographed Pat Fitzgerald football!
In addition to the opportunity to save lives through a blood donation, there will also be a bone marrow swab opportunity in an effort to help find a match for Julian Sims, a 10-year old NU fan who is battling Leukemia through chemotherapy treatments. This process takes less than 10 minutes and simply requires a cheek swab and no blood donation or appointment needed.
