EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern announced Wednesday the radio broadcast schedule for the 2013-14 men's basketball season, which begins Saturday, Nov. 9 when the 'Cats host Eastern Illinois at 7:30 p.m.
WGN Radio AM-720 has been the flagship station for Chicago's Big Ten Team since 1996 and its 50,000-watt signal reaches 38 states and Canada, with live Internet streaming available worldwide on all devices through wgnradio.com, TuneIn, iHeartRadio.com, and smartphone applications. In the event of conflicts, Northwestern games will be carried on either ESPN 1000 or WIND AM-560.
Northwestern Athletics Hall of Famer Dave Eanet will once again call all the play-by-play action as the voice of the Wildcats. Eanet will be joined on broadcasts throughout the 2013-14 campaign by Chicago sports media personality and former NBA scout David Kaplan, and former Wildcats basketball standout Tim Doyle. Kaplan will provide color analysis for 20 games, while Doyle will be on hand for 12 contests. WGN's Jordan Bernfield will serve as the pre- and post-game host for the 'Cats, as well as handle play-by-play duties, alongside Kaplan, when Northwestern travels to Las Vegas for the Continental Tire Invitational on Nov. 28-29.
