EVANSTON, Ill.-- Northwestern returns to Lakeside Field Wednesday, Oct. 30 for the Wildcats (8-4-3, B1G 1-2-1) first home match since Oct. 12.
The 'Cats are coming off a heart breaking 2-1 double overtime loss to Penn State, which clinched the Big Ten Regular Season Title for the Nittany Lions.
Loyola (4-9-2, 1-2-2) enters the game coming off a 1-0 victory at SIUE. It was the Ramblers first victory since Sep. 13, snapping an 0-8-2 stretch.
NU Hosts `Kick or Treat' at Lakeside Field Oct. 30
When the No. 19 Northwestern men's soccer team returns home to Lakeside Field, fans will be treated to an event packed night a day before Halloween.
NU hosts 'Kick or Treat' on Wednesday, Oct. 30 against Loyola Chicago at Lakeside Field.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. CT. The night includes free admission to all fans dressed in a Halloween costume and Northwestern will be giving away free candy.
There will be a costume contest, where the winner will receive free entry to the 2014 Northwestern Soccer Commuter Camp. (The winner must be in eight grade and under).
Familiar Face
Loyola head coach Neil Jones returns to Evanston. This is his first season as the Ramblers head coach, and he spent the previous three seasons (2010-12) as the associate head coach at Northwestern.
Putting in Overtime
The Wildcats have played into double overtime in each of their last four games and 5-of-6 games have gone to double OT. Also, 6-of-7 of the 'Cats last games have reached overtime.
In NU's last four games, the 'Cats have played 438:30 of soccer (109:38 minutes per game). Over its last six games, NU has played 637:44 (106:15 minutes per game). Over the Wildcats last seven games, they've played 7:35:42 (105:06 per game).
This marks the first time in Northwestern school history the team has played in four straight 2OT games (NU reached 2OT in three straight games in 2006, 1983 and 1981). Northwestern has never played in five consecutive overtime contests.
It's also the longest overtime stretch in school history. Playing 5-of-6 double overtime contests and 6-of-7 overtime matches in 2013 are a first in NU history.
Overall this season, NU has played seven overtime games, six going into double overtime. The seven OT contests are the fourth most overtime games in a single season in school history, the most being nine in 2012.

NU senior Chris Ritter and sophomore Joey Calistri each have scored three game winning goals for the 'Cats this season, which is tied for the second most in the Big Ten.

Ritter Named Senior CLASS Award Finalist
Northwestern senior midfielder Chris Ritter has been named a Top 10 finalist for the 2013 Senior CLASS Award.
The award, which is an acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, honors the attributes of senior student-athletes in four areas: community, classroom, character and competition. It focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
Fans can vote for Ritter by online at www.SeniorCLASSaward.com.The fan vote runs through November 25.
Ballots will be distributed through a nationwide voting system to media, coaches and fans, who will select one male candidate and one female candidate who best exemplify excellence in the four Cs of community, classroom, character and competition. Winners will be announced during the 2013 NCAA Men's and Women's College Cup championships in December.
