EVANSTON, Ill. -- As many as 35 Northwestern fall Olympic events will be available for fans to watch on the Big Ten Network or online through the Big Ten Digital Network, establishing a new school record for fall season broadcast coverage from BTN.
The Wildcat field hockey team will be the first featured on the airwaves in 2013-14, when it hosts Iowa on Friday, Sept. 27 live on Big Ten Network. Tracey Fuchs' team will make three regular season appearances on BTN/BTDN in addition to being covered at the Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament in November.
Two-time defending Big Ten champions, the Northwestern men's soccer team will see coverage of at least eight regular season contests, including a televised home game against Wisconsin live from Lakeside Field on Sunday, Nov. 3. Volleyball will have 10 regular season matches televised or streamed, and women's soccer will make five regular season appearances. BTN will also televise additional late-season "wild card" selections, with coverage announcements to be made later.
Additional streaming coverage through NUsports.com will be announced at a later date.
Streamed coverage for Northwestern events is available through a subscription to Wildcats All-Access on NUsports.com. Many streamed events are student-produced broadcasts through the Big Ten Digital Network, which provides high-quality, multi-camera coverage and student announcers for the games. BTDN streams are part of the Wildcats All-Access subscription package. Beginning in 2013-14, all games that stream through Wildcats All-Access will be available on demand after the conclusion of the live event.
