NU and Chicago Bandits Softball Clinic Flier ![]()
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern softball will host a clinic in conjunction with National Pro Fastpitch's Chicago Bandits at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 28, before NU hosts Purdue for the Wildcats' Senior Day game at Sharon J. Drysdale Field.
The clinic will feature four-time Northwestern All-American and 2009 NPF Rookie and Defensive Player of the Year Tammy Williams along with other Chicago Bandits teammates and former Wildcats' players. The Bandits have won a pair of NPF World Championships, including one in 2011, and advanced to the championship game of the league's playoffs in 2012.
Cost for the clinic is just $3 and includes a ticket to the NU versus Purdue game along with a free NU hat. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the clinic will run for one hour from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All participants then will be invited onto the field for pregame introductions prior to the noon first pitch of the Wildcats' game against the Boilermakers.
The clinic is open to all girls in grades first through eighth and will be split by age group to learn fundamentals and perform drills on the grass football practice field north of Sharon J. Drysdale Field.
