Northwestern Postgame Notes

• This was the 16th all-time meeting between Northwestern and Penn State, with the series record now standing at 13-3 in Penn State's favor.
• Northwestern is 15-9 in true road games since 2008.
• Venric Mark opened the scoring for the Wildcats with his sixth rushing touchdown of the year, and his eighth TD overall.
• Tony Jones caught his first touchdown pass of the season in the second quarter, breaking a streak of 14-consecutive rushing touchdowns for Northwestern dating to the Vanderbilt game in Week 2.
• Trevor Siemian to Tony Jones was the Wildcats' first passing TD since SIEMIAN hit Demetrius Fields for the game-winning score in Week 1 at Syracuse.
• Tony Jones' touchdown was the second of his career, and his first since Oct. 2, 2010, at Minnesota on his first collegiate play.
• Northwestern forced a turnover from its opposition for the 19th straight game. The Wildcats have at least one fumble recovery or interception in 42 of the last 45 contests.
• Northwestern has now scored in double figures in 66 straight games.
• Kain Colter ran for his team-leading seventh rushing touchdown of the season in the third quarter.
• Sean McEvilly registered the first sack of his collegiate career in the third quarter.
• MARK returned a punt 75 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter, his second return TD of the season and first since Week 1 at Syracuse.
• MARK is the second player in Northwestern history with two punt returns for TD in the same season, joining Tom Worthington from the 1949 Wildcats squad.
• MARK finished with 189 all-purpose yards (72 rushing, 6 receiving, 36 kick return, 75 punt return)
• Damien Proby finished with a career-high 16 tackles in the game. Three other Wildcats also had double-digit tackles (David Nwabuisi 15, Ibraheim Campbell 14, Chi Chi Ariguzo 12) that represented single-game career bests.
