EVANSTON, Ill. – Saturday is the first chance for fans to see first-year head coach Michael Moynihan and the 2012 Northwestern women's soccer team in action. The Wildcats host DePaul at 6 p.m. at Lakeside Field for the team's lone exhibition game before beginning regular-season competition on the road at Kansas on Aug. 19.

Admission and parking are free for Saturday's exhibition. For those who cannot attend, live stats will be available via Gametracker and fans can follow @NU_SportsLIVE for Twitter updates.

Northwestern returns eight starters and welcomes seven newcomers to the 2012 squad. Moynihan joins NU after 19 years with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's soccer team, where he led the program to nine NCAA Tournament appearances, 13 Horizon League Championships and received Horizon League Coach of the Year accolades eight times.

NU officially opens the 2012 season with three road games before hosting Marquette on Friday, Aug. 31 for the home opener at Lakeside Field. Northwestern's nine-game home schedule includes five straight games at Lakeside from Aug. 31-Sept. 14 and a match against the 2011 Big Ten regular season champions, Penn State on Sept. 21.

Tickets for all regular-season home matches at Lakeside Field are available for purchase by calling 888-GO-PURPLE (888-467-7885) or at the ticket booth the day of the match.
