EVANSTON, Ill. -- Members of Northwestern football's all-time winningest senior class continue to find homes with NFL franchises this month, with four players now officially on professional rosters.
Below is a look at recent transactions involving former Wildcats since the NFL draft took place during the final weekend in April:
Wide receiver Jeremy Ebert, who was drafted in the seventh round by the defending AFC champion New England Patriots, agreed to a four-year contract with the Pats, it was announced on Wednesday. Ebert became the second of New England's seven draftees to come to terms on a contract with the organization.
Former Wildcat superback Drake Dunsmore recently participated in the Rookie Mini Camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which selected him in the seventh round of the NFL Draft. The Bucs had previously announced the signing of the 2011 Big Ten Tight End of the Year to the club back on May 7.
Al Netter, a four-year starter for Northwestern at left tackle, signed a free agent contract with his hometown team, the San Francisco 49ers, shortly after the conclusion of the NFL Draft.
Like Netter, cornerback Jordan Mabin has signed a free agent deal with a team that came within one win of reaching the Super Bowl last season, joining the vaunted Baltimore Ravens defense on Monday, May 13.
